What Are Subway Surfers Characters?
These are the playable people, robots, and animals you control in the game. Every run begins with one dodging trains, barriers, and the Inspector. Each has a distinct look, a backstory tied to a real-world city or event, and at least one outfit that changes their appearance. Players often unlock new surfers through events, keys, coins, and resources available throughout the game, while some also explore Subway Surfers Unlimited Money versions to access characters and customization options more quickly.
Since the 2012 launch, the roster grew from a small crew into a global cast. It now exceeds 200 unique entries — base characters, seasonal variants, crossovers, and limited-time additions combined.

Outfits (Skins) Guide
Subway surfers skins — officially called outfits — are cosmetic only. They change appearance but have zero effect on gameplay speed or ability.
Before update 3.42.3, each character had exactly two outfits tied directly to their profile. After the Outfit Separation update, outfits became independent items and hold more than two. Bonnie was the first to receive a third outfit (Thumper) under this system.
